The 15 members of District II of the Representative Town Meeting will be holding an informational meeting for residents who live in District II on Sunday, January 7th from 3pm to 4pm in the Louise Parker Berry Community Room at the Darien Library.

The purpose of the meeting is to get input from District II residents as the Town begins planning for its 2018-19 budget.

Each District II RTM member will be prepared to give a brief update on what is happening in their standing committees:  EducationFinance & BudgetParks & RecreationPlanning, Zoning & HousingPublic Health & SafetyPublic WorksRulesTown Government Structure & Administration (TGS&A)Blight, Public Works Garage Building Committee, TV79 Advisory Board.

Then we would like to hear from you. With future state reimbursements to Darien now an annual question mark, 2018-19 promises to be a challenging budget year. We would like to hear your priorities.

District II is east of I 95, west of Ring’s End Road extending to Rowayton and south of Route 136. It includes the neighborhoods of Tokeneke, Delafield Island, Salem Straits, Cedar Gate and Long Neck Point. District II votes at Town Hall.
