Louie’s Italian Restaurant & Bar Opens in Darien
Your new favorite Italian restaurant just opened in Darien. The popular Cos Cob restaurant has just opened its second location, at 10 Center Street, former home to Darien Social. Louie’s Italian Restaurant & Bar first opened in Cos Cob in 2008 and quickly became known as a casual neighborhood restaurant, serving classic Italian cuisine in a comfortable setting and at reasonable price.
According to co-owner Pieter Hartong, “we are extremely excited about this new location and we are committed to making Louie’s Italian Restaurant & Bar a destination for family and friends to enjoy quality Italian food in a comfortable setting”. Louie’s is open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week. A social hour is offered from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. every Monday through Friday. In opening the new Darien location, co-owner Tony Lagouranis commented, “this venue also allows for private parties and has a wonderful patio setting our patrons are really going to enjoy”.

Louie’s Italian Restaurant & Bar is reminiscent of your favorite neighborhood restaurant, if you grew up in Brooklyn or on Arthur Avenue. Louie’s has two locations in CT; the Cos Cob location at 136 River Road Extension opened in 2008 and the Darien location at 10 Center Street just open in 2017. The menus are similar and both locations offer a social hour, private party space and take-out services.
