Greg Ehlers, candidate for the 25th State Senate district has completed the first steps toward unseating the failed incumbent. Today he is announcing that his campaign has fully met the requirements of the State Elections Enforcement Commission necessary to receive a Citizens Election Fund Grant.

“I am excited and encouraged by all the support I have found in Norwalk and Darien,” said Ehlers. “People want change. They are tired of the incumbent and his policies that are failing our state. Under his watch, Norwalk families have suffered the two largest tax increases in our state’s history, and due to the incumbent’s failures to control a budget, he has voted to cut education funding, mental health care funding, and he has a record amount of families fleeing our towns.”

“I promise you that when you elect me to replace my opponent’s failed leadership in November, I will do everything possible to turn our state around, open our state to business, create good paying middle class jobs, and operate a government that focuses on delivering core services efficiently and effectively. Unlike the incumbent, who has made a 16 year career of destroying our state’s ability to compete, I will serve no more than 2 terms as your senator, as I do not believe politics should be a career.”

“This November, remember what Connecticut was before my incumbent came to power, it was a place that you could find a good paying middle class job, get your kids a world class public education, and it was a place where we took care of those in need. Connecticut can be that shining city on a hill once again, but not if we continue to same that same career politicians back to Hartford and expect the same bad results.”
