Darien Police Make Harassing Phone Call Arrest

In October of 2014 the Darien Police Department received a complaint from a seventeen year old female resident regarding ongoing harassing phone calls.   The female stated that the phone calls began in September of 2013 and were being made to her cell phone from a blocked number.  The female received approximately sixty phone calls from the unknown male caller.  The female stated that the caller would infer that he knew the victim, knew where she was at certain times of the day, and at times would ask the victim inappropriate questions.  During one conversation the caller asked if he could meet the victim somewhere.

Investigative efforts by the Darien Police Department’s Detective Division identified the male caller as Keith Jamie Reimer, 65 years of age from 18 East 80th Street New York, NY.

On February 25, 2015 Reimer turned himself in to the Darien Police Department after learning that there was a warrant for his arrest.   Reimer was charged with two (2) counts of Harassment in the second degree.  Reimer was not able to post the court set one hundred twenty five thousand dollar bond ($125,000.00) and appeared in court today.
