As 7:00 am today (April 1), Noroton Ave (southbound) at Middlesex Road is closed due to a water main break.
Significantly icy conditions are present and the DPW is responding to salt/sand the area. Traffic is temporarily being diverted to Edgerton Street. Regular officers are on scene currently and extra duty traffic officers are en route. Once the scene is made safe and traffic officers arrive, it is expected that Noroton Ave.(near Middlesex Road) will be operating as a one lane, alternating traffic pattern at least during the AM hours.
