Elderly Man Found in Pool by Darien PD has Passed

*UPDATE*

 On August 15, 2016 at approximately 4:30pm Darien Police officers responded to a Meadowbrook Rd. residence on a report of an unresponsive, elderly male at the bottom of a pool.  Officers pulled the victim from the pool and through CPR, were able to establish a pulse. 

Darien EMS transported the victim to Norwalk Hospital where he remained in critical condition for the past day.  At approximately 12:00 hrs. on this date, this agency was advised by Norwalk Hospital that the victim had succumbed.  The Darien Police Department will have no additional information to release on this incident.  


On August 15, 2016 at approximately 4:30pm several Darien Police officers responded to a Meadowbrook Rd. residence on a report of an unresponsive, elderly male at the bottom of a pool.  Upon arrival officers immediately entered the pool and removed the victim from a depth of approximately six (6) feet.  It is unknown how long the victim was submerged however he was not breathing and had no pulse. 

Officers began CPR for the next several minutes until Darien EMS arrived on scene.  The victim was then transported to Norwalk Hospital where as of this morning remains in critical condition.  The name of the victim is being withheld at this point and no further details are being released.
