Westporters Get Super Bowl Front Row

Westport, CT – It was the experience of a lifetime – front row seats to America’s biggest game, the Super Bowl.

Thanks to some advance planning, Staples High School classmates Nicolette Weinbaum and Ilana Bernstein, with Bernstein’s family, had the exclusive opportunity to see the New England Patriots and New York Giants go head-to-head Sunday evening, February 5, live and literally yards in front of them.

“Her family put the tickets on hold a while back,” said Weinbaum of the Bernsteins, who spent the weekend together in Indianapolis, where the game was hosted this year. The group attended all the V.I.P. parties and various scheduled events leading up to the game, and interacted with players, officials and celebrities during the match.

“We got a shout-out on the field from Hakeem Nicks, Adam Schefter, Trey Wingo, DeMaurice Smith, Rich Eisen and David Arquette,” said Weinbaum.

After the game, the group encountered many more notables. “We met Tollefson, Tisch, Jeff Gordon and Hall of Famer Doug Flutie,” she said.

But the highlight of the whole experience, Weinbaum noted, was sprinting out onto the field after the Giants had won. “You could feel the energy radiating throughout the entire stadium,” she said. “After they all got a chance to hold the trophy and smile, we walked with the Giants players as they headed back to their locker rooms. It was such a great feeling, the players were glowing. It was the most incredible experience – I’ll never forget it.”
