JLEFC Inducts New Members

The Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County is thrilled to welcome 19 new members in its 2013-2014 year. The new members were inducted on Tuesday, May 20th, at the League's Annual Dinner at the Country Club of Fairfield.

A world-renowned women's leadership and volunteer organization of 330+ members, the Junior League has been making a difference in the greater Bridgeport area since 1920. Members spend their first year receiving training on how to run volunteer projects, meeting with community partners, learning about the Junior League and its impact in the community and making lifelong friends. As part of a longstanding partnership with Operation Hope, a shelter for the hungry, homeless and at-risk in Fairfield, Connecticut, this year's newest Junior League members collected personal care items to create "move-in kits" for new residents.
