Freezin' for a Reason, the popular annual charity fundraiser for Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, is set for Sunday, December 07, at 12:00 PM.

Freezin' for a Reason is back & more fun than ever before! 

Last year more than 100 Wakeman fans dipped their toes or their whole body in the chilly LI Sound to help raise money for all the good stuff that goes on at Wakeman.  This year we are looking for even more people to get their bathing suit out of winter storage and join the fun!  

The fun starts at 11:00 AM with a whole lot of Freezin' Fun & Games on the beach so come on down and have some fun before we all take our dip!  

When you sign up for "Freezin" you ask people to support you by making an online donation to Wakeman. The dip in the water is quick...but the impact lasts for a very loooong time!   

To take part kids must raise at least  $100 and it's $200 for adults. 

All kids (18 & under) that raise $100 will receive a Freezin' t-shirt, raise $250 and you get a $25 gift card to one of your favorite local stores or restaurants.  For every $500 raised plunging kids are entered into a drawing to win $250 in gift cards to those favorite local stores and restaurants!

Adults get their t-shirts for the first $200 they raise and a terrific Wakeman beach/tote bag when they surpass the $500 mark. After that there will be a number of special items available by drawing so the more you raise the more you may take home with you!
