Jennings Beach Walk/Bike Event Against Cancer Sept. 12

The William Raveis Charitable Fund has teamed up with the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation in the fight against cancer. Damon Runyon identifies the most brilliant and passionate young cancer researchers and provides them with funding to pursue their ideas in search of innovative new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat all forms of cancer. Since 1946, Damon Runyon has invested over $287 million in the best young minds in the nation.

On September 12th, Raveis and Damon Runyon invite you to Jennings Beach in Fairfield to ride, walk or just enjoy the positive vibe with family and friends. Participants can choose between a 5K Walk, 12-Mile Bike Ride or 25-Mile Bike Ride.

It is only $25 to register to participate in any one of the events. All participants will receive free food and a t-shirt and are invited to stay following the event for music, entertainment and a celebration honoring cancer survivors and the Damon Runyon scientists. If walking or biking is not for you, there are volunteer positions available the day of the event. Donations are also accepted on the website and very much appreciated.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation and 100% of donations they receive go directly to funding their scientists. Join the fight against cancer and have a direct impact on cancer research.
