Operation Hope Tag Sale: July 23 & 24

Fairfield, CT - Don’t miss the chance to lighten your load by donating items you no longer need to Operation Hope’s Annual “Really Big” Tag Sale. The Tag Sale will be held Saturday, July 23, 9:00am - 4:00pm and Sunday, July 24, 12:00pm - 4:00pm at 148 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT. Once again, First Church Congregational Church has generously allowed Operation Hope the use of its facility for this long-standing community event that is open to all. It’s the perfect opportunity to get a good find and do good at the same time!

This tag sale provides a great opportunity for local residents to donate items they no longer have use for – all for a worthy cause. Donations will be accepted at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, Monday, July 18 through Thursday, July 21, 9:00am - 12:00pm and 5:00pm - 8:00pm. Operation Hope welcomes donations of furniture, household goods, jewelry, table and kitchen linens, pictures/paintings, toys, gaming systems, newer electronics (flat screen TVs and monitors and newer computers), bikes and outdoor and sporting goods. Operation Hope cannot accept bedding, clothing, cribs, shoes or books. Furniture may be donated during scheduled donation times, but cannot be picked up by Operation Hope.

“Our annual Tag Sale is a productive way for local residents to help Operation Hope and for Operation Hope to offer the community a fun weekend event. Donated items don’t end up in the landfill, but instead have a chance to find a new home. And buyers not only get a bargain, but also help fund services that support our struggling neighbors,” said Carla Miklos, Executive Director, Operation Hope.

The event is always in need of volunteers. For more information, please contact Volunteer Program Manager Donna Schmidt at (203) 292-5588 x207 or dschmidt@operationhopect.org.

The event will occur rain or shine.  There is an admission fee of $1.00, which goes to support Operation Hope’s shelter, housing and hunger programs. Plenty of interesting and varied items will be for sale, as well as a concession stand hosted by the Fairfield Rotary.
