"I am delighted to serve as the President of the JLEFC during its 96th year. We plan to continue our many important initiatives, including our "Healthy Families, Healthy Futures" programs. The purpose of the programs is to increase the physical and developmental health of young children by focusing on literacy, family connections, healthy eating and healthy lifestyles, to better prepare children in the Bridgeport area to succeed in school. Additionally, I am excited to share that this fall, we will host our third annual 5K Run/Walk and new member open houses. Dates will be available on our website, www.jlefc.org, in August."
