Tony Dovolani to Host Golf Benefit

Stratford, CT -- Tony Dovolani, long-time Connecticut resident and Dancing with the Stars Mirror Ball Champion, will be hosting The Tony Dovolani Golf Invitational for Special Needs Children on Friday August 12th.  Mill River Country Club, Stratford, Connecticut is the site of the day’s events.  This is the inaugural event for Tony Dovolani’s Not for Profit Organization, “Golf for Special Needs Children”.  The day is sold out.

Proceeds from the day’s events will benefit the Only You Foundation 501 (c) (3).   Mike and Kelly Fedak founded this non-profit organization to honor the memory of their son, Mikey, who passed away unexpectedly in 2013

The Only You Foundation (onlyyoufoundation.org) supports families in the Fairfield County area that are facing the many challenges, including financial ones, that come along with raising a child with special needs.  Only You provides specialized equipment such as wheel chairs and adaptive bicycles, host Family Fun Nights, assists schools and recreation facilities in organizing activities and offers guidance to help facilitate inclusion and acceptance of children with special needs.

"I want to thank my generous community for making our first Golf For Special Needs Children event a sell out.  Being the parent of a special needs son has really opened my eyes to the myriad of challenges a family is presented with and the support needed," states Tony.

The day’s events will culminate with a show featuring Tony Dovolani and his fellow Dancing With The Stars pro, Sharna Burgess.  The pair will be joined by professional dancers from the Dance With Me Studios.

Corporate Sponsors include:

Mill River Country Club

Toyota of Stamford, who is providing a car for the hole in one contest and will donate $50.00 for every car sold the month of August
