Jennifer O'Neill Named Op Hope's Director of Development

Fairfield, CT - Operation Hope welcomes Jennifer O’Neill as Director of Development to cultivate donor relations and increase fundraising opportunities for the Fairfield-based non-profit.

A Fairfield resident for over 20 years, she and her husband Tim raised their two grown children in town. Jennifer first cooked a meal for Operation Hope as a member of Southport Congregational Church over a decade ago; since then she’s had a passion for feeding the hungry in her community.  She joined the Operation Hope Board of Directors in the fall of 2013 and spent the past summer volunteering in the development department.

“I am excited to join Operation Hope to work with Executive Director Carla Miklos, the team and the dedicated volunteers to advance its mission,” stated Jennifer O’Neill, Director of Development, Operation Hope. “I have long been inspired by Carla’s solid leadership and share Operation Hope’s vision of every person in our community having ‘a place to call home, supportive relationships and hope for the future.”

Jennifer is a career professional in non-profit development, with experience in fundraising, special events, communications and volunteer management. Most recently she was the Director of Development at Whitby School in Greenwich. Jennifer hopes to grow a culture of philanthropy to support Operation Hope’s general operations and special projects.

“At this time especially, when State and federal funding resources are being reduced and needs for shelter, food and counseling services continue to rise, we are fortunate to have Jennifer join our team,” said Carla Miklos, Executive Director, Operation Hope. “We are looking forward to working together to end hunger and homelessness, right here at home.”
