Migratory Shorebird Talk @ FYC, Sept. 17

Milan Bull, Senior Director of Science and Conservation at the Connecticut Audubon Society, will offer a presentation addressing the important role Ash Creek plays for migratory shorebirds on September 17th at 6:30PM at the Fayerweather Yacht Club at 51 Brewster Street in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport.

Ash Creek, one of the last healthy tidal estuaries in the US in an urban environment, with waters shared by the towns of Fairfield and Bridgeport, offers respite for these birds, some flying from as far as the Arctic Circle en route to Argentina. The event is co-sponsored by the Ash Creek Conservation Association and the Black Rock Garden Club.

Interested parties are asked to RSVP as soon as possible to ashcreekassoc@optonline.net as registration is limited to 60 attendees. No walk-ins will be allowed at this free event.
