The Fairfield Public Library is hosting Cherril Kolesik on Wednesday, September 24 at 7 pm in the Memorial Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. She will be speaking about her year as a Peace Corps volunteer in Azerbaijan.
Cherril is a longtime Fairfield resident, former teacher and, recently, a Peace Corps volunteer teaching English in Azerbaijan. Cherril will share her experiences learning about the food, language, music, traditions and people of this unique culture. There will also be a discussion regarding the work of the Peace Corps in general and what is required and expected of volunteers.
