Fairfield Retailers to Take Part in Town's Restaurant Week

Merchants throughout Fairfield will be offering extended shopping hours on Thursday, October 16, as part of Fairfield Restaurant Week. Participating merchants will be staying open until at least 9 pm, and offering light refreshments to patrons who want to pair a little shopping with dinner out.

Additionally, more than twenty retailers will be offering special discounts and promotions in conjunction with Fairfield Restaurant Week, which is being held Sunday, October 12 through Saturday, October 18, as part of the passport promotion.

Retailers offering discounts or sales promotions include: the Fairfield University Bookstore, Apricot Lane, the Fairfield Museum and History Center, Magic Beans, Red Mango, Jenny Boston Boutique, Island Outfitters, Dash ‘N Drizzle, The Beehive, The Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts, Hazel Daze, Vintage Garden Gifts, the Fairfield Theatre Company, 5 Oceans Fair Trade, Chloe’s Closet, Coreen’s Bridge Floral Shop, Capri, The Label Exchange, Catch a Healthy Habit, Swim ‘N Surf and Yurway Boutique.

First Selectman Mike Tetreau said, “Restaurant Week gives the public the opportunity to visit the many fine restaurants and retailers in our community. This week-long event is another way the Town can show its support for our local businesses, help our local economy and provide our residents with an enjoyable experience. We encourage Fairfield’s citizens and visitors alike to join us in this special town event!”

Restaurants:

Thirty-eight restaurants from around Town will participate in this week-long special event that will feature prix fixe lunch and dinner menu prices or alternative discount pricing on their already existing menus.

This year’s featured restaurants include: 55 Wine Bar & Restaurant, Archie Moore’s Bar & Restaurant, Artisan, Bangalore, Barcelona Wine Bar & Restaurant, Bella Sera Ristorante, Bodega Taco Bar, Bonda, Café Madeline, Centro Ristorante, The Chelsea, Colony Grill, Coromandel Cuisine of India, Craft 260, Fin, Flipside Burgers & Bar, Geronimo Tequila Bar & Southwest Grill, The Gray Goose, Hana Tokyo, Joe’s American Bar & Grill, The Little Goose, Local Kitchen & Beer Bar, Martel Bistro, Mecha Noodle Bar, Michael Gennaro’s Steakhouse, Old Post Tavern, Osianna Mediterranean Taverna, Paci, Quattro Pazzi Cafe, Rio Bravo, Southport Brewing Company, Sweet Basil, Tabouli Grill, T&C Steakhouse, Tazza Osteria & Bar, Tomato & Basil, Tuscany Ristorante and Wafu Asian Bistro.

Passports:

The Town has created a passport book that will be available at participating restaurants and other key locations during Restaurant Week. Passports will be "stamped" during each visit to a participating restaurant.    Passports can also be shown to participating retailers which are offering special discounts.

Passports bearing stamps from two or more restaurants are eligible for a drawing to be held at the conclusion of Restaurant Week. The top prize will be a night’s stay, deluxe accommodations, at the Southport Delamar and dinner for two at Artisan. The Town of Fairfield is also offering a special prize of two complimentary tickets to the 375th Grand Gala on November 15th at Sacred Heart University.

One entry is allowed per household. No purchase is necessary. All winners will be notified via e-mail. To enter the drawing, the public can complete the information on the inside passport jacket cover and deposit by Wednesday, October 22, 2014 into specially designated receptacles at any participating restaurant, OldTown Hall, Sullivan Independence Hall, the main branch of the Fairfield Public Library, the Pequot Library and the Fairfield University Bookstore.

In addition to the top prizes, additional prizes are being offered by: Hot Spot Glass Studio, Fairfield University Bookstore, the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, Floris Spa & Nail, The Beehive, Mo’s Wine & Spirits, Fairfield Museum & History Center, Red Mango, Quick Center for the Performing Arts, Field House at Fairfield Sportsplex, Fairfield Theatre Company, Fairfield Ice Academy, Magic Beans, Jenny Boston Boutique, 5 Oceans Fair Trade, Fit Club, Fairfield Pure Barre, Island Outfitters, Vintage Garden, The Spa Retreat, Capri, Coreen’s Bridge Floral Shop, Apricot Lane, and the Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts.
