Fairfield Book Clubs Invited to Fairfield Library, Nov. 5

Does your book club need some exciting ideas, tips for getting the discussion going and staying on topic? (It is so easy to digress!) Join Fairfield Library for an evening of celebrating book clubs on Wednesday, November 5 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the historic Memorial Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Mingle with other groups, get reading and discussion tips from librarians and meet special guest author Meryl Gordon. Gordon is the author of the fascinating The Phantom of Fifth Avenue: The Mysterious Life and Scandalous Death of Heiress Huguette Clark. She is an award-winning journalist and a regular contributor to Vanity Fair, The New York Times and New York Magazine, and is on the graduate journalism faculty at New York University. Registration is requested.

The evening will begin with a presentation from librarians Mary Coe and Claudia Silk on great resources for book clubs. Ms. Gordon will follow with an author talk followed by a book signing. During the book signing, light refreshments will be served and the mixing of book clubs can begin. Compare notes, share favorite reads and enjoy.

All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free. To register, or for more information on this and other programs, visit us online at: www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org or call 203-256-3160.
