The Fairfield Museum and History Center presents "Fashion and Fantasy: 250 Years of Wedding Dresses", a new exhibit to run February 19 - May 31. This exhibition will examine how fashion and the traditions of "the big day" have developed over time, comparing the simple rituals and dresses of the past with the more elaborate events that weddings have become.
The new exhibit will be celebrated with a Museum After Dark event, February 19, 6pm - 8pm, at the Museum. $5 Suggested Donation for Non-Members. Members are Free. Guests will enjoy wine and cheese and preview the new exhibit. A highlight will be Fairfield clothing designer Jennifer Butler discussing her original fashion designs, which draw inspiration from the past.
