The Fairfield Rotary Club will hold its twelfth annual Celebrity Luncheon on Monday, March 9th from 12:00 to 1:30 PM at Fairfield University. The luncheon is the largest fundraising event for Fairfield Rotary and enables the Club to award over $20,000 of grants to local charitable groups as well as an additional $22,500 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Fairfield, Bridgeport and Easton who demonstrate a commitment to Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self”.
Attendees are asked to make a donation to the Fairfield Rotary Foundation. Typical donations range from $75 to $250.
Past speakers at the Celebrity Luncheon have included former Major League baseball pitchers Dwight Gooden and Tommy John, actor Charles Grodin, former NY Times technology writer David Pogue and journalist Frank Deford.
