Tuesday, July 7 -- Friday, July 10, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm, Pequot Library offers an "Aviation Heroes Workshop", designed for ages 9+
Participants will:
- Hear fascinating stories of noted pioneer flyers in aviation history
- Learn about the basic principles of aeronautical engineering through demonstrations and hands-on learning
-Create several models of famous aircraft, including a pedal-powered plane
The workshop will be led by Maker-in-Residence Joseph Schott. Schott holds a Masters in Architecture and was Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois. He has recently conducted programs as Maker-in-Residence at the Westport Public Library & Eagle Hill School. He teaches 3-D projects at King Low Heywood Thomas School in Stamford, CT
