Guastavino Trio and Soprano Tobé Malawista in Concert to Benefit KEYS

On Sunday, September 20 at 3 pm, the Guastavino Trio will perform at Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport, CT.  The concert benefits KEYS (Kids Empowered by Your Support), a Bridgeport-based non-profit organization that brings free music instruction to kids in Bridgeport who would otherwise not have access to this life-changing experience.

The Guastavino Trio (named after the late Argentine composer Carlos Guastavino) will present a concert featuring works by Haydn, Cantaloube, Martinu, Astor Piazzolla and Carlos Guastavino, among others. The trio consists of Jane Shelly on flute, Tom Hudson on cello, Sara Kohane on piano, and they are joined in this concert by Soprano Tobé Malawista.

The Guastavino Trio was formed in 2006 and has performed throughout Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, notably performing in concert series at the First Presbyterian Church in New Canaan, Merkin Hall in NYC, The Fairfield Theater, Fairfield, CT, St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Rocky Hill, CT, and The Hagaman Public Library in East Haven, CT.  In January 2012, they performed at the American Church in Paris, France and in September of 2013, they performed at Fresno Pacific University and in San Francisco.

Admission is a suggested $10 donation to KEYS.

Trinity Episcopal Church is located at 651 Pequot Avenue at Center Street, Southport, CT
