Fairfield Magazine Announces Winners of the Taste of Fairfield's "Best Dishes" Contest

Fairfield, CT -- Fairfield Magazine food writer Tracy Holleran and Gourganics Founder Sarah Galluzzo were the judges of the “Taste of Fairfield” held Sunday, October 11 at Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road. The event kicked off Restaurant Week and Fairfield Magazine’s 10th Anniversary Exhibition and featured several local chefs sharing some of their best dishes with the public.

The winners are listed below in several categories:

Best Overall Dish(es) – Taberna’s Paella & b.good’s Butternut Squash Salad tied for the top award

Best Cupcake: Sweet & Simple Bake Shop

Best Sushi: Hana Tokyo

Best appetizer: Flipside’s Roasted Corn bites

Best beverage: Little Goose’s Pumpkin Martini

“We are so lucky to have such great choices for dining in Fairfield,” said Sarah. “It was a task Tracy and I loved, though it was hard to decide—all the dishes were so delicious.”

Tracy added, “Sarah and I agreed that the Paella from Taberna and the salad from b.good were equally terrific—and both creative and inspired. We had a lot of fun deciding!”
