Fairfield, CT - Celebrate ancient Chinese culture during a special event at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road. The 5,000-year civilization, rich in history and tradition, will be presented in a multimedia program Sunday, October 18 at 3:00 p.m. in the Rotary Room.
This presentation introduces the important aspects of traditional Chinese philosophy, the destruction of authentic culture and art in the last 60 years as well as the Renaissance of Chinese culture as demonstrated in Shen Yun Performing Arts. The session will include a short Chinese dance. The audience will also have a hands-on experience of classical Chinese dance props such as long ribbon, waist drum and fan.
Advanced registration is required due to the limited space. All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free of charge.
