Learn to Write a Computer Program at Fairfield Library, Dec. 5

Fairfield, Conn. - Write your first computer program, at Fairfield Library. Everyone (ages 6 to 106) is invited to participate in this fun international initiative to promote computer education.

This is the second year the Library is hosting the popular "Hour of Code", joining millions of people in over 180 countries. Bring your own laptop or tablet, or use one of the Library’s, to follow a self-paced, online tutorial consisting of puzzles that use a simple, video game-style interface with familiar characters from Star Wars, Minecraft and Angry Birds. Staff will be on hand to answer questions.

Registration is requested if you plan to use one of the Library's computers, as quantities are limited. The group will meet on Saturday, December 5 from 10-11am in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free. To register, or for more information about this and other programs, visit: www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org or call 203-256-3160.
