Fairfield Library Talk on Women Entrepreneurship

Fairfield, Conn. - Did you know that women are starting businesses at more than double the rate of men? Kathy McShane of Ladies Launch Club, will visit and talk about what it takes to be a successful female entrepreneur. The difference between male and female entrepreneurs; the art of negotiating analytics and 10 tips to keep your business flourishing will be discussed.

McShane has written the book, The Survivor’s Guide for Female Entrepreneurs. One of the women highlighted in her book, Mandi Gavlak, the founder of the spa M. Mills Co, will talk about her entrepreneurial journey. This program will meet on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 7:00 pm in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. McShane’s book will be available for purchase and signing at this event. Registration is requested.

Presenter Kathy McShane, CEO and Founder of Ladies Launch Club, has worked with over 1,000 women starting businesses. She draws on 25 years of industry experience to support women seeking to launch or expand their businesses.

This program is part of the Small Business Strategies series for current and prospective entrepreneurs, presented through a partnership with the Greater Bridgeport Chapter of SCORE, a non-profit dedicated to helping small businesses succeed through education and mentorship.  More information on these programs and podcast recordings of previous presentations are available online at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org.
