Chamber Singers of FCCC at First Church, June 12

Fairfield, CT -- The Chamber Singers, the most advanced choristers of the Fairfield County Children’s Choir, will perform a program of music from the heart of France with Gounod’s Messe Bréve No 4 in C to New Orleans where The Saints Go Marching In and everything in between under the direction of Jon Noyes, Music Director and Founder, accompanied by Donna Beatty and special guest Aymeric Dupré la Tour, Sunday, June 12, 2016, at 4:00 pm in the Sanctuary of First Church Congregational at 148 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06897.  The program has classical choral pieces, popular songs and spirituals.

The Fairfield County Children’s Choir, a community-based choral program made up of over three hundred children in grades four through twelve from all over Fairfield County, is completing its twenty-first season.  The FCCC provides children with an opportunity to participate in a musical experience which is challenging, rewarding and enjoyable. The FCCC program provides instruction in vocal technique, choral technique,music literacy and the appreciation of music through the practice and performance of great choral repertoire. 

The FCCC has performed throughout New England, and throughout the United States, as well as Canada, England, Ireland, Austria, and the Czech Republic.  This year on June 24th, The Chamber Singers, will travel to New Orleans.

Immediately following the concert, there will be a wine and cheese reception to meet the musicians.  Tickets are $20 in advance, available on line at www.firstchurchfairfield.org or at the door $25.  Student tickets are $10.#
