"Moonstruck" Screenings in Newtown, Feb. 16

Newtown, CT -- Newtown's Edmond Town Hall Theater at 45 Main Street will conduct two screenings of “Moonstruck" on Thursday, February 16, at 1 PM and 7 PM.  The matinee will be subtitled for the benefit of the hearing impaired. Tickets are $3, available at the box office.

This three-time Academy Award winning film has audiences singing, quoting and laughing along, and has also inspired more than a few to see "La Bohème" at the Met for themselves. Cher and Olympia Dukakis give Oscar-winning performances, and star alongside Nicholas Cage, Danny Aiello and Vincent Gardenia in this sublime and bittersweet story, written by John Patrick Shanley who also won an Oscar for Best Writing of a Screenplay.

The Someday Cinema Series is presented by the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission.  Visit bit.ly/SomedayCinemaSeries to see the entire lineup for 2017, and fb.me/SomedayCinemaSeries.
