Danbury, CT -- On Saturday, March 18, Billy Joel’s original band, The Lords of 52nd Street, will perform at the Palace Danbury Theatre.
This is NOT a tribute band! These are the original hitmakers who played with the Piano Man at Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall, Nassau Coliseum and countless other venues during all those Billy Joel concerts during the 1970's and 1980's.
NOW 30 YEARS LATER, THIS LEGENDARY BAND HAS REUNITED.
Be prepared for an unforgettable live concert experience in Danbury when The Lords perform the hits and deep album cuts from the Billy Joel catalog. There’s no auto-tuning and no digital fixing. They play in the keys the music was written in, with the same passion and energy they had when they first wrote the songs with Billy.
It's Richie Cannata playing sax on New York State of Mind and Scenes from an Italian Restaurant just as well, if not better, than he did on the original records. And Liberty DeVitto with as much energy on the drums as we heard in 1977. And Russell Javors on guitar. Remember that great guitar lick from It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me! (Not to mention he still has some of the greatest hair in rock and roll history.)
Bandleader Richie Cannata, says, “We are really excited about our upcoming show in Danbury.” Cannata continued, “This is our first show together in Connecticut in over 30 years, and we can’t wait to bring down the house at The Palace!”
These gents helped change the face of music, and their dedication and devotion to this music catapulted them into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in October 2014. Often imitated, never duplicated, Liberty, Russell and Richie, along with an all-star band, have re-formed to pay homage to the Billy Joel catalog. Sit back and enjoy the definitive New York sound -The Lords of 52nd Street.
The Palace Danbury is located at 165 Main Street, just minutes off of I-84, in Danbury, Connecticut. Free parking is readily available for theatre patrons in the parking lot behind the building. For more information about this and all upcoming shows visit https://tickets.thepalacedanbury.com .
