"Building Your Business As An Artist" at Fairfield Library, Apr. 25

Fairfield, CT - The public is invited to a free talk on “Building Your Business as an Artist” in the Rotary Room of the Fairfield Public Library on April 25 at 7 to 8:30 pm. It will be presented by Liz Tardif.

Being an artist and managing a business at the same time can be quite a challenge. This talk is designed to help visual artists understand and learn the basics for organizing and operating the business of marketing and selling their art. It includes information about how to submit an application to a gallery, how to research commercial publishing options, the business resources available to artists, and how the business art world drives the investment market and the buying behavior of collectors.

There will be time for attending artists to share what they have done personally to achieve success in selling their work.

Liz Tardif has served as a curator for the Bruce S. Kershner Gallery at the Fairfield Public Library for over five years. She is an art advisor and the founder of www.cherrystreetart.com and is a life-long artist working in acrylic  and oil.
