Southport, CT – For generations, The Barclay Classes have helped children grow into well-mannered young adults by helping them develop social skills, confidence, and poise while having fun. Children learn so much more than dancing -- they learn step-by-step social graces.
The program for students in grades 3−7 stresses the importance and practice of good manners and presents instruction in ballroom dancing. Dancing is used as a teaching vehicle using games to keep children engaged. The basic ballroom dances are taught in the third grade, and each year new steps are added as the children move through the program. Being confident and relaxed with dancing will prove to make all social events for your child fun and enjoyable. Registration is now open for the classes starting October 3, 2017.
The program runs through May 2018, meeting for 10 Tuesday afternoons and early evenings depending on the age of the student. Third-grade classes meet from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.; Fourth-grade from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.; and the Theme Night Program for fifth, sixth, and seventh grades meets from 7:15 - 8:15 p.m. Please contact The Barclay Classes directly for enrollment information at (908) 232-8370 or go to http://www.thebarclayclasses.com/index.html or email enroll@thebarclayclasses.com.
