SPED Attorney To Speak at NAMI Fairfield, Nov. 1

FAIRFIELD, CT — NAMI Fairfield, a community organization providing support and education for people affected by mental illness, is excited to have Lawrence W. Berliner, special education law and disability attorney on the calendar for its November 1 Speaker Meeting. He will be discussing details on special education laws and how parents can pursue their child’s educational rights.

Attorney Berliner has over 34 yrs of experience representing and advocating for children, adults and families with special needs. He passionately focuses his practice on special education law, disability law, and legal advocacy for individuals with disabilities.

Berliner’s presentation will take place 7:30-9:00 pm at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road in Fairfield.

All are welcome to attend this FREE event to learn:

· Steps to take when your child is struggling in school and achieving below his/her potential

· How to make the IEP a framework for success
