Every couple of months, a new app gets the spotlight. Recently, it has been the game 2048. The game is super popular. During its first week of release, it was downloaded over four million times.

The objective of the game is to create the number 2048 by sliding the tiles around in the game. Each tile has a different number on it (which are all powers of 2), and if two tiles of the same number are merged together, a new tile will form with the sum of the two tiles that were merged together.

Like all extremely popular app store games, 2048 is also addictive. Players try to get as many points as possible by forming the number 2048 as many times as possible.
