The Westport Historical Society's 5th annual kayak tour to Cockenoe Island, held Sat. Sept. 13, was another success despite some rough seas and an overcast sky. Participants heard about the history of the island, the Saugatuck River watershed and conservation efforts including the success of migratory nesting birds on the island.
