Selectmen Announce Fairfield Restaurant Week Prize Winners

The Board of Selectmen recently held a drawing to announce the top three prize winners who participated in Fairfield’s third annual Restaurant Week. A complete list of all winners can be found at www.fairfieldct.org/rw.

At a recent Board of Selectman’s meeting, First Selectman Mike Tetreau, Selectman Cristin McCarthy Vahey and Selectman Kevin Kiley held a drawing to announce the following top three prize recipients: Scott Leamon of North Haven who won $200 in Showbucks at the Fairfield Theatre Company; Richard Schneider of Fairfield who won two complimentary tickets to the Town of Fairfield’s 375th Anniversary Grand Gala held on November 15th at the Pitt Center at Sacred Heart University; and Anne Stephan who won the fabulous grand prize of a night’s stay, deluxe accommodations at the Southport Delamar, plus dinner for two at the acclaimed Artisan Restaurant.

The Community and Economic Development Department which spearheaded this successful Town event is asking community members to fill out a post event survey on Restaurant Week by going to www.surveymonkey.com/s/FRW14.

The Department is offering a chance to win a $50 gift card to the Little Goose Café for those who complete the online survey. The survey is intended to get the public’s feedback on their dining out experience in Fairfield during Restaurant Week.

First Selectman Tetreau said, “I wanted to thank everyone who helped make our third annual Fairfield Restaurant Week such a rousing success. Fairfield Restaurant Week has quickly become something of a tradition…something to look forward to each year…and each year, it seems to get better and better.   We had a record number of Fairfield restaurants participating this year. And, the word is out that Fairfield is the “in” place for dining, and I want to thank our many fine restaurants and businesses for participating.”

Community and Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart said, “I especially want to thank our sponsors Bankwell and Meridian Risk Management and our grand prize contributor, Southport Delamar and Artisan Restaurant. We want to continue to grow this event, and make it even better, and so we’d love to hear from the public through the survey.”
