Mobilizing the Home Front: Posters from World War II

In honor of the 70th anniversary of VE day, "Mobilizing the Home Front", an exhibit that opened January 16, 2015 at Fairfield Museum and History Center, features World War II posters that were used to raise support for the war effort at home. Part of a large propaganda effort on the part of the U.S. government, the posters utilized strong messages and iconography, linking efforts on the home front to the military campaigns in Europe and Asia. In essence, every American, soldier or civilian, was enlisted to help win the war.

The exhibit will be in place through Sunday, May 10, 2015.

The Museum is located at 370 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT.
