Leon Spivack, a current student at Fairfield University, turned 100 years old on February 6th. A student in the University’s Learning for a Lifetime program for over 40 years, Spivack celebrated his birthday on campus with University President Jeffrey von Arx, S.J., a proclamation from Governor Daniel Malloy and a musical tribute from the all-male a capella group, The Bensonians. Spivack, a Bridgeport resident for over 60 years, recently received a celebratory letter from President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
