Fairfielder Bill Sebestyen Passes, Age 95

Fairfield, CT - William Alexander Sebestyen, Sr., age 95, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully in his home on January 30, 2016.

He will be remembered by his sons, William Sebestyen, Jr., of Windsor, Donald Sebestyen, of Fairfield, David Sebestyen, of Southport, Gary Sebestyen, and his wife, Lyndsey, of Brighton, M; his grandchildren, Donald Sebestyen, Jr., and his wife, Jana, Scott Sebestyen, all of Land O'Lake, FL, Natasha and Samantha Sebestyen, both of Brighton, MI; one sister, Anna Lemack, of Oxford; several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his two siblings, Helen and Frank.

A lifelong resident of Fairfield, Bill graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in 1938. He proudly served his country as a Master Sargeant in the United States Army during World War II. Retired, he was a talented carpenter and construction supervisor for many years for Tomlinson, Hawley, and Patterson Construction, of Trumbull.

His memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, February 12th at 1:30 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Friends may greet his family from 12:30 PM until the time of service. His interment with military honors will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
