New Job Seekers Can Learn Networking Strategies at Fairfield Library

Fairfield, Conn. - Networking can get overwhelming and, if not done correctly, can waste time.  Find out about effective networking from Kristen Tierney of The Tierney Development Group.  Walk away with valuable tips and strategies, an understanding of the true value of the 30-second commercial and 12-second lead-in, why you hear about them all the time and why they are so important when cultivating business relationships.  Discover how to extricate yourself from a non-networker and how to narrow down your list of networking groups to a manageable number that creates a win:win for all. Networking is still the preferred method for one specific demographic, join us to find out which groups prefer face-to-face contact and which do not. There will be a dynamic question and answer session, so bring your concerns, experience and challenges!  This joint presentation of the Fairfield Public Library and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce will meet on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 7:00 pm in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. Registration is requested.

Kristen Tierney heads The Tierney Development group, helping small businesses and non-profits create sustainable funding.  Since 1995, their methods of income stream development, networking and coaching have helped businesses grow and thrive.  They have introduced new networking groups for top producers, network marketers and solopreneurs.  Kristen and her husband Brian were raised in Fairfield and they returned to raise their children here.  Tierney has been a driving force behind downtown merchant programs like the Holiday Stroll and the Scavenger Hunt.
