Fairfielder Henry "Bud" DuBret Passes, Age 85

Fairfield, CT -- Henry E. DuBret (Bud) 85 of Fairfeld, passed away May 15, 2016.

He was born on January 11, 1931 in Black Rock, CT to the late Howard and Mary Ellen DuBret. "Hopefully he entered heaven where he was happily reunited with all of his past Nolan - DuBret family members." Henry attended St. Ann's school in Black Rock, was an altar boy at St. Ann's church, a 1948 graduate from Fairfeld Prep and a 1952 graduate of Fairfield University. He was the starting quarterback (#32) on The Black Rocks semi pro football team. Henry also owned The Center Record Shop in Fairfeld center for many years. He was a great man and will be missed dearly.

Henry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia, son, Patrick DuBret of Fairfield, daughters, Susan (John) Strong of Black Rock, Therese Canale of Milford, daughter-in-law, Karen DuBret of Milford, sister, Joan Davis of Fairfield, grandchildren, John III, Bret, Erin, Ryan, Jessica and Kayla, great-grandson, John IV and serveral nieces and nephews. Sadly, he was predeceased by his son, David DuBret, son-in-law, Richard Canale and sister, Doris Noonan.

A memorial mass celebrating Henry's life will take place Saturday, at 11:30 May 21, 2016 at St. Gabriel's Church 26 Broadway Milford, CT.
