John Deeley, of Black Rock, Passes, Age 54

Bridgeport, CT -- John Steven Deeley, age 54, of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, passed away on May 20, 2016. 

One of eight children born to Charles and Barbara Deeley of Fairfield, John is survived by his seven siblings: Paul Deeley of Winsted CT, Mark Deeley of Bridgeport, Michael Deeley of Lebanon, Brian Deeley of Winsted, Charles and Keller Deeley of Easton, Rebecca Deeley of Kailua, HI, and Julia and Michael Grant of Milford. John also leaves behind three nieces, Erin Deeley of Denver, CO, Alexandra Deeley, of Evansville, IN and Madeline Deeley of Easton. John graduated from Andrew Ward HS, Fairfield, and attended Norwalk Community College. 

As a young man, John achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

John was an avid Mets and Jets Fan. He worked on and loved cars and worked as a mechanic for Friendly Service of Fairfield, Fairfield Truck and Auto and Arnold Company of Black Rock. He was also manager of New Haven Pizza in Norwalk, a family-run business. He was also a manager at Petco in Norwalk and for the last 15 years, Associate, Assistant Manager and Manager of Radio Shack in Wilton.

John's work ethic was exceptional: He gave his all and consistently went above and beyond in serving his clientele. He was known for helping people. Like his father, he was known for his intelligence and wit; he had a love of technology and science and was an avid fan of, and total whiz at JEOPARDY!
