Fairfield, CT -- Anne Golden, age 85 of Boca Raton, FL and formerly of Fairfield, CT passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.
Anne was born in Brooklyn, NY a daughter of the late Sophie and Morris Shapiro. She worked at the University of Bridgeport for 25 years and lived most of her life in Connecticut before retiring in Florida. Anne was a beautiful woman inside and out and was loved by everyone who met her. She had a wicked sense of humor and loved to travel, sing, dance and tell jokes. Her personality was like no other. Her biggest joy in life was her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her devoted & loving daughters who were her best friends Abby (Larry) Rohinksy and their children Alexis, Austin, Adam & Rachel, Marni (Paul) Vinci and their children Sarah and Mark all of Fairfield, CT. She was predeceased by Charles, her loving husband of 59 years this past August and her cherished son, Scott. Her family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of Hospice by the sea in Boca Raton, FL for their compassionate care.
Shiva will be observed following internment at the home of Abby Rohinsky, 120 Sherley Place in Fairfield, on Sunday, and Monday, May 30th with a 7:00 p.m. service.
