Tiny Miracles Foundation Adds Director of Family Services

The Tiny Miracles Foundation, Inc. (TTMF) announces the addition of a Director of Family Services, Elisabeth Schneider, LMFT (licensed marriage and family therapist). The position is a new role and will support the organization as it expands services and continues its signature programs such as on-site peer to peer mentors in the NICUs (neonatal intensive care units) of Norwalk, Stamford, Danbury and Bridgeport Hospitals.

Elisabeth Tullis Schneider was born and raised in Greenwich, CT.  Mrs. Schneider received her Bachelor's degree in finance from Georgetown University.  After five years in the financial industry, Elisabeth decided to change her career path.  She attended Fuller Seminary's School of Psychology in Pasadena, CA, where she earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Returning to the east coast, Elisabeth spent over five years working for Family Centers in Darien, CT with a focus on adolescents, couples, individuals, and groups.

Mrs. Schneider then began a private practice in 2008 in Fairfield, CT. A year ago, she decided to focus her practice primarily on perinatal wellness, which includes perinatal mood disorders, infertility, perinatal loss and premature birth.  She completed a certification to work with Perinatal Mood Disorders and runs two groups, an infertility support group and a perinatal loss support group.  Elisabeth's private practice has expanded to include an office in Darien, CT as well.

She has been a featured speaker at local churches, foundations, schools and parenting groups. Elisabeth has written numerous articles for the Greenwich Citizen, Darien News-Review and New Canaan News-Review and has been interviewed in articles published in the Stamford Advocate, Greenwich Post and Greenwich Times.

Elisabeth is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and Postpartum International.  She is active in her community of Fairfield, CT and has three children, ages 8, 6 and 1.

The Tiny Miracles Foundation (TTMF) is a volunteer-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support and assistance to families with premature infants in the greater Fairfield County, Connecticut area, and to helping our local neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) provide the best possible care for premature patients and their families. TTMF strives to improve the lives and outcomes of preterm babies and their families, and addresses a community need that is virtually unmet by any other local, regional or national organization.
