NPT College Interns to Sing with B'way Star Kristin Chenoweth

Fairfield, CT -- Kristin Chenoweth's music director, Mary Mitchell-Campbell, has invited New Paradigm Theatre Company’s (NPT) college interns to be a part of the Broadway superstar’s show, My Love Letter to Broadway!, in which Chenoweth stars.

NPT artistic director Kristin Huffman was in the Tony award-winning Broadway show, “Company”, music directed by Mary-Mitchell Campbell (Broadway: Adams Family, Finding Neverland, Tuck Everlasting, Big Fish).  After this summer’s successful and sold out NPT production of “Oliver”,  Mitchell-Campbell invited Huffman to assemble college interns, mostly from the University of Hartford where Huffman is a vocal instructor, to sing with Kristin Chenoweth in her show on November 5th at 2 PM at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater on Broadway.

Needless to say, the college interns are ecstatic to be getting this chance to work with the Broadway superstar as well as getting a Broadway credit on their resumes. This aligns perfectly with NPT's mission statement and the non profit’s emphasis on connecting young people to Broadway, film and TV pros.

It's up to Huffman to prepare the students in two weeks to be a part of the show. Then the students will go to NYC on November 5th and rehearse with Mary-Mitchell Campbell and sing with Chenoweth in her show that day at 2pm.

To continue helping students of all ages to connect with the pros, NPT is hosting their signature event, So Ya Wanna Be A Broadway Star, on November 12th at the Pequot Library’s concert hall. This event gives hopefuls the chance to perform in a master class in front of Broadway pros and receive feedback.
