Get Ready for College Program at Fairfield Library, Jan. 12

Fairfield, Conn. - Summer vacation is a wonderful time for self-discovery – a time to enhance your experiences, uncover your interests and develop your skills.  Whether you want to make money, change the world or improve your academic skills, now is the time to explore your options. This session with Alice Gorman, college and career counselor at Fairfield Ludlowe High School, will show you how to find programs and opportunities to help you find a job, volunteer, travel and learn so you can become the best you can be! Start making plans for summer now.  Join the group on Thursday, January 12 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.  This program is designed for high school students and their parents.  Registration is requested.

Gorman runs the College & Career Center at Fairfield Ludlowe High School where she helps students in their college searches and part-time/summer job hunts.  She also coordinates the Senior Internship Program, sending approximately 300 students into the workplace for the final month of school.  She was formerly the director of the Career Planning Center at Fairfield University.
