Fairfielder Paul Mandeville Passes, Age 62

Paul M. Mandeville of Fairfield, beloved husband of 34 years and best friend since the age of 15 of Attorney Candace D. Paige passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center.

Born in Bridgeport and raised in Black Rock, the son of the late Ronald and Charlotte Mandeville, lifelong area resident Paul graduated from Bassick High School, attended Fairfield University School of Business and worked for People's Bank for 25 years. He later attended the French Culinary Institute in New York City. Paul delighted in cooking and spending time with his family and friends especially his two beloved Scottish Terriers, Carnaby and Paisley.

Survivors in addition to his loving wife Candy include a sister-in-law, Nora D. Paige of Fairfield and her partner, Jeffrey McDowell of Southport; a sister, Susan Johnson of Bridgewater, VT; a brother, Jeffrey Mandeville of Melbourne, FL and a nephew, Timothy Mandeville of Minneapolis, MN.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 9:15 a.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Emery Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. Prior calling hours have been omitted.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the 9th floor nursing staff at St. Vincent's Medical Center and Dr. Seyed Aleali for the wonderful care and compassion provided to Paul during his illness.
