Fairfield, CT -- Rosella (Kovich) Wysocki, aged 92, formerly of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Carolton Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield.
Born in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania to the late Steven and Mary Kovich, Rosella moved to Bridgeport at age 18 to find work in the war effort.
She began as an assembly worker at the Bridgeport Brass Company and later joined the Bryant Electric Company where she remained until her retirement.
Rosella was a woman devoted to her faith and was a long time parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Bridgeport, and in later years Our Lady of Grace in Stratford. She had a generous nature and the greatest joy in her life was spending time with her two grandchildren.
Rosella was predeceased by her loving husband, John A. Wysocki, as well as her five siblings, Steve, Joe, Mike, Kip and Helen. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Patricia Lohotsky, and her husband, Walter, of Fairfield; two cherished grandchildren, Brian and Kathryn, both of Fairfield.
The family would like to thank the Carolton Convalescent Hospital, especially the South Wing, for the compassion and care they provided Rosella over the past four years, and a special thank you to her dear caregiver and friend, Gail Soucy, for always being there.
The Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home in Fairfield has been entrusted with the arrangements.
