ABOUT THE EVENT:
The New York Dog Film Festival is a program of entertaining and inspiring short films that celebrate the remarkable bond between people and dogs. A portion of each ticket sold will support the Connecticut Humane Society. The festival is comprised of two separate programs which are each a medley of animated, documentary and narrative short films from around the world. (Please note that each program requires a separate admission ticket.)
ABOUT THE FILMS:
Program I at 11:00am is made up of twelve short films including GAMES OF BONES, an Australian film that reimagines the popular television series with a similar name, starring the director’s own rescued Labrador as the heroine; USEFUL DOG TRICKS a fun film with a Jack Russell terrier who shows the myriad ways a dog can help around the house; and A BOY AND HIS DOG, an English documentary about a young boy with medical challenges whose family adopts a big dog whose own physical challenges bring the family closer together.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER:
NY Dog Film Festival founder Tracie Hotchner is a well-known pet wellness advocate and author of The Dog Bible: Everything Your Dog Wants You to Know. She is also the host and producer of ten pet talk radio shows on her Radio Pet Lady Network, including her award-winning NPR show Dog Talk.
