CLASP Homes of Westport will present its 10th annual Taste of Westport on Thursday, May 1, at The Westport Inn from 6:00 to 9:00. Enjoy an evening tasting the favorite dishes of choice area restaurants, accompanied by a selection of wines, beers and cocktails, and end it with desserts, cappuccino and gelato - all to support a great cause.
CLASP is a 32-year-old charitable organization providing homes and opportunities for people with autism and other developmental disabilities. The organization runs a number of programs to foster independence, dignity and continued growth for its clients. It operates 21 residences in seven communities including Westport, Norwalk, Fairfield, Wilton, Easton, Trumbull and Stratford. And CLASP collaborates with many area businesses to match the capabilities of its clients with the needs these companies.
Once again New Country Lexus of Westport will be Taste's Title Sponsor. The dealership is located at 137 Post Road East, with a Pre-Owned sales center and a service facility in Fairfield. Michael Buchbinder, the dealership's General Sales Manager, stated "We are pleased to once again support CLASP as a part of our giving back to the community that supports us." Buchbinder added that the dealership will hold a raffle of an iPad at the event and will display vehicles to introduce guests to their benefits.
