Auditions Aug. 4 for Bijou Theatre Talent Competition

The Bijou Theatre and Matt Oestreicher are holding auditions for a talent competition on Monday, August 4th from 5pm-9pm in the Bijou Performing Arts Center at 277 Fairfield Avenue, 2nd Floor, Bridgeport, CT 06608.

"Your Time to Shine" auditions are open to singers, dancers, comedians, rappers, spoken word artists and musicians ages 5 and older. Amateur performances of all styles are welcome. Those chosen from the audition will have the chance to appear at the Bijou Theatre, and will be eligible to win cash prizes.

Auditions are open to anyone who does not have a contract with a major recording label, television or film studio.
Each contestant will have up to 3 minutes to audition.
There will not be a band on site. Singers may bring a CD or perform a cappella.
Dancers should bring a CD for their performance.
All musicians should bring their own instruments.
All auditions should be in good taste and with no profanity
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult
Children's category age requirement: 5 to 15 years of age.

"Your Time to Shine" is an exciting variety show featuring talented youth and aspiring professional singers, musicians, and dancers competing for prizes. With a cast of mentors and experienced professionals who have worked with/performed with everyone from Stevie Wonder to Jon Bon Jovi to Kevin Hart and Will.i.am. Contestants chosen for "Your Time to Shine" will join Hosts Comedian Capone, Master singer Joe Gray, and Musical Director Matt Oestreicher on The Bijou Theatre stage on Saturday, August 16th at 7:00pm.
